Where does the wastewater come from?

WalCoMet serves 11 entities that cover an area of approximately 16 square miles and is a mixture of residential units, industries, schools, and businesses. The wastewater from each community is discharged into 38 miles of sanitary sewer lines that convey the wastewater to the water reclamation facility.  On average, each person in the United States creates 50-100 gallons of wastewater daily.
